Welcome to Zhe by Karyn Elizabeth, I’m Karyn … just a quick note about me and Zhe by Karyn Elizabeth.  Zhe is a lingerie brand that is focused on addressing the fit and function needs of the TGNC community.  We are about empowering trans women through all phases of their transition.

I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a friend and a fierce advocate for the transgender community as a whole.  As the mother of an adult trans woman, I have come to my advocacy out of love and acceptance, out of necessity and desire.

After spending more than 20 years as a stay at home mom, I followed my childhood dreams and started to take Continuing Education classes at Parsons School of Design.  I thought I would learn to sew, to sketch and design.  What started as a hobby, quickly turned into a path to something more.

“Lingerie had long been my passion, I have always wanted to design beautiful bras and lingerie.” 

In late 2014, my middle child disclosed that she was transgender, it was during my daughter’s transition that I realized the lack of beautiful lingerie options for the trans community.  As I started to research, it became evident that there was a need and I wanted to address fit and function, to use beautiful fabrics, to use designs that were modern and fun.  This has truly become a passion project for me.

As I continue this journey of bringing inclusive lingerie to an industry that has overlooked an entire community of women for too long, I hope that you take this wild ride with me.
